A whole day in pictures – My lunch/shopping/spa day with Emelie

Hey all!

Oh lately life has been going so fast, I begun a new term and are working with a new (effective) group in school and I got lots of fun things planned. But sometimes the normal life can be to much of the good, so I visited my friend Emelie last friday, and it was a good but a little unusual day.

Train travels can be so boring, so I had stocked up on good books to read, Ahlgrens’s cars (Swedens most sold car) and other things to do. But it ended up with that I made some toys for the baby which soon will come.

Some gifts to Emelie, a travel game and some travel sweets with a handy checklist on the back.

First thing I did after arrival was having some nice lunch as I was starving, lasagna with bread and some salad.

Little Loke was with us to. Can’t believe he is 9 months already!

Me with the baby in my arms. Dress is from H&M Divided, which miraculously fits my growing bump still.

Later Emelie and I went to do some shopping, at Cervera I found this nice cups (did not buy any though, I got so many cups that I don’t have any room left in my cupboards) and Emelie found a present for her mother.

Then some second hand shopping at Myrornas. I got a nice find in red for the baby, for almost nothing!

After shopping and refueling ourselves with dinner, it was time for some spa where we got a free massage and feet treatment, as it was Emelies friend who had an opening party. I was not sure if I was allowed to take some photos so this is the only one from the spa’s entrance. But I can tell you, my feet have never felt better afterwards!

Around 8 in the evening I said good bye and got given a goodie bag with some nice aloe vera based products, like a lip balm, some juice and a one time foot treatment. It was the good end to a good day.

What is it with maternity clothes?

I went to H&M the other day and went to look for new maternity clothes, as my bump is getting to big for the normal clothes in my closet. On the way towards the maternity clothes department I passed all of this nice pastels and french shapes and also marine clothes here and there, which made me very excited to think that the maternity clothes might look similar, because then I would not need to change my style just because I am pregnant.

One of the few maternity clothes I actually like. I wonder where the rest of the nice one’s are?
You can imagine my horror when most of the clothes were black, grey and other dull colours. No patterns, the shapes were not flattering (being pregnant does not mean I want to look like I’m wearing a tent!).  Sure, you use the maternity clothes a short time in your life, but is it that hard to make them more flattering towards the female body? Is it so that mothers-to-be is not a group that gets efforts in making nice clothes, because we actually HAVE to buy those clothes, we do not really have a choice? I am starting to think that this is the truth. Question is, how can we change it?

Winter in Vrinnevi Forest

I am so lucky living in such a small town as Norrköping, it is only 5 minutes into all nice shopping centers and so, and only 5 minutes to a beautiful forest, called Vrinnevi. That is one favorite of mine to walk with my dogs with, especially during winter time when the world is frozen and white. I so love winter!

The only thing that is boring with winter is the clothes, all thick and everyone look pretty much the same. I try to go around it by using funny scarves and hats. I must have at least 15 scarves lying around in the house!

Pretty much everything is gifts, so I can’t really say where they are from.

It was a great walk. The only thing that could have made it better should be more snow, as it is way to little to do all fun things like skiing, making snowmen and ice scate. Especially the last thing made me sad I can’t do as I had decided months ago to start with it again. Oh well, you can’t get all.

I hope you all have a wonderful season, wherever you are in the world.

Update: Baby surprise

Hey all!

Long time no see, but I have been in pretty much constant shock since October. I realised that me and Adam are expecting a child, and a whole lot of questions/thoughts/surprises rose in both our lives. The rest of my life had to wait, being with friends, my studies, even my precious blog. Talk about being in shock!

Now I am in week 17 and I feel capable of going on with my life again, even though I’m expecting a child. I am back for now, and now I do not think I will take a break from the blogosphere for quite some time. I hope you will like to read about my new interesting life.Bild
