To Scotland with a Scarf

Hey all!

As I have not made any real outfit post for a while, here comes one very “autumny”. I did for the first time use the scarf I bought in Scotland. To be honest I bought it to my brother, but it went so well with my purple coat so I borrowed it one day. As I been sick I have not felt to blog so much, but really, I think it is time to put alot more effort in this blog then I have done before. I have decided to start treat it as a job, and not just a hobby, and the changes will first start with creating a more professional layout. If you been reading my blog, you noticed probably that I do not like the current look on it. It is just not me!

Coat: Cubus

Dress and leggings: HM

Shoes: Skopunkten

Scarf: Pride of Scotland, Edinburgh

Brosch: Second hand

In order to make this blog going to be a more proffesional oriented one, I am also thinking about to broad my perspective when I blog. I have noticed it is hard to find things to talk about when blogging, what is really legitimate to bring up or not? Shall I just talk clothes, clothes and clothes, or shall I also discuss things that matters to me, like the environment, my dogs and husband, being creative in diffrent ways, politics, books? What subjects do you want here? I would gladly listen to any suggestion!

Greetings from Scotland

Hey all!

I am now back from having the flu (time wasted in bed; one week, so I’ve got a lot of things to catch up on! I’m not fully recovered yet, but it is not worth it lying in bed when life is walking by, and oh boy I’ve got so much material to share with you. This month I have been to Scotland for Adam’s sister’s wedding, got lots of packages with nice stuff, and been to fun things like Culture Night and school (I like my school). So let’s take all of this in a time line, starting with my time in Scotland.

9th of September my sister-in-law Helen got married to her boyfriend Ben, and both Adam and I got invited to their wedding in Edinburgh. This photo shows how happy she was right after the ceremony, hugging and laughing with her and Adam’s sibling. I just adore her dress also, looks so nice on her.

View from the ceremony room. I loved the greyish buildings in Edinburgh!

Adam’s sister Cara as a cute bridesmaid.

After the ceremony we were guided by a man in a kilt through town to the wedding breakfast, passing by all these statues of exotic animals (we bought a mini version of an elephant later, named Tim). At the resturant later…

…we had delicious Italian food, here Mozarella and vegetables…

…and I was happily surprised my name was spelt correctly…

…and I stood and laughed in the toilets.

After the 4 hour long wedding breakfast we went close to Edinburgh Castle, to dance and eat cake. The room was beautifully decorated with photographs on a string…

…and the garden outside had this lovely view. Magical!

Garden decorations, simple and so adorable. As I spent the rest of the time dancing and eating, this is my last photo, but Adam’s grandmother took this cute one of us two together outside the castle.

Everything is second hand except the fake red hair (gift from Ellinor) and the necklace (Shop by Alexandra). I so need to use the green dress more.

So this was my first visit in Scotland, but I sure want to come back here one day and explore more, not just be there one weekend. Have you been travelling recently? Did you enjoy it and wish you spent more time there?

A sunny autumn’s day

Happy autumn everyone!

I am finally back from my undesirable blogcation, and so much has happened since then! I have been to the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh, got a cat (and he disappered again on some cat adventure), been awake for 40 hours without sleeping and realised my autumn closet is almost non existant. I’ve got tons of blogs to read through now also, as I have been doing so much. So I am prepared for  a lot of enjoyable reading this weekend, and best of all, I’ve got a new camera (oki, it is actually Adam’s camera, but we’re married, so I consider everything of his to be mine. Atleast when it comes to cameras). Which means I can blog again, yey!

So, today I got Adam to take some nice photos of my outfit, as we passed a nice house when we were grocery shopping, covered with red and green leaves. Along with sunshine and a cold wind, it made  this beautiful autumn day. It was so simply perfect for a photo shoot. So without further ado, here is how I look when I don’t have any autumn clothes, but still have to dress warm. Enjoy!

Hat: Åhléns

Cardigan: HM

Shorts: BikBok

Tights: HM

Shoes: Skopunkten

Ring: Spotted Moth

Nailpolish: Viva la Diva, gift from Ellinor

Red, brown, purple and dark green are the colours I associate most with autumn, which is noticable in my clothing during this season. Unfortunally, most of my autumn clothes seem to have vanished into oblivion, as I have a huge lack of cardigans and long skirts/dresses.  One thing is clear though,  I seem to forget that there are 4 seasons and not 3 pretty much every year. I have promised myself to not buy any more summery t-shirts or thick coats for the winter. Let’s see how that turns out.
