Camera hunt is going badly

Hey all!

Small update, the camera hunt is not going good at all. As I am having alot of other things to do, I have not really got the chance to sit down and look for a new one. I tried to take photos with my phone, to atleast show you some blurry photos of these days, but not even that work, as I can’t transfer them to my computer of some reason (after a little googling this seems to be typical for my phone, bah!). I guess I am cursed by a bloggers worst nightmare, the lack of any camera.

But as I got a nice mother, with a good camera (which is moving to Northern Sweden tomorrow), she took a few photos of my favorite outfit these days, making time for me when she’s in a hurry to pack. Got to say I thank her alot!

Skirt: Monki

Vest: HM

Headband: Some flower necklace I found and wrapped around a black headband

Socks: HM

As my outerwear was quite military inspired (but I don’t have a photo of that) I named this outfit militant flower (or maybe militant hippie, have not decided yet). It made me feel good wearing it, denying the fact that autumn is coming closer. I also got the best comment from my mum (who normally thinks my clothing taste is not so good) saying she liked my headband. Thanks alot mum, again! I am so going to miss having her and my baby brothers close.

Hopefully I will have a camera in my hand again when I go to Scotland next week. Or not hopefully, I need a camera then, even if I have to go hungry for a month to get one.

Little Update – Camera is dead!

Hey all!

Making a small update, as I am so sad at the moment. My camera is dead! It is some sort of wrong on the lens which makes me unable to take any photos at all. :( This makes me so sad as so much nice things is happening at the moment and I can’t share them! Talk about lousy timing!

So I am in search for a new camera atm, hopefully I find a good one pretty soon!

Sparkling like the sun

Hey everyone! Great day, is it not? Today Adam will come and I am so so happy. Finally after this long time, we will live together. Two years in Sweden as I am studying, but after that, I would not mine to live in, oh well it is an entire world out there!

Yesterday night I worked night on the first party on my University, it was really fun but exhausting and I got in bed around 05.00ish. And had an exams at 10 in the morning after, omg I had forgot how hard the student life can be. Woosha! But it will be better after I got into the routine again, and what can I say, I love having a busy life! But before I rushed for work, I took some outfit photos, yellow and glitter together, my favorite combination.

Shirt and Tights: HM

Shorts: Bikbok, cut of Jeans

Shoes: Second hand

Necklace: Indiska

Nothing of this is new, showed all of this clothes before, but not in this combination. Good with little sparkling sunshine before the cold days arrive. And you can never get to much yellow, or glitter. Unfortunally it is hard to find really nice looking yellow clothes, seems like all the designers out there are afraid of yellow. Not so much fun when your favorite colour is yellow. Can someone tell me what is wrong with yellow? Why do people avoid it like it carried the plague?

Oki, I shall not rant so much about that, I am in a happy mood today. Happy happy HAPPY! So, I need to run off and see if I can find a new pair of walking shoes as my old one’s did break. Meanwhile, you can look on my hideous job outfit and think about some nice theory on why it don’t exist any nice yellow clothes. Have a great day!

Yuck on baggy t-shirts!

Baptism-Sunday

Hey all! How is life, everything going good? Thought so! I just wanted to share with you one of the  best days in my life, when I got the honour to be the godmother to My best friend Emelies son Loke. He was so cute in his white vintage dress (protestants wear white dresses, no matter of gender on  the major cermonies) and the little family looked so happy. I am so proud having a relationship to these people.

Before the cermony, we did all getting dressed and ready. My shoes did break so I had to walk barefoot during the entire cermony.

Besides being the godmother, I was also one of the candle holders, along with this girl…

…who was one of Emelie’s relatives. Funny enough, we were almost the same height, and I am twice her age!

The baptism itself, it was really beautiful and we sang alot of songs and I had to dry away a tear, being so happy for Emelie.

After the cermony it was alot of talking with the priest and taking photos.

My adorable godson! Is he not cute in his dress?

After the cermony, we went to Emelies uncles house and I took lots of photos…

…on the people eating…

…opening Loke’s gifts, as he was busy sleeping…

…and the kids playing with a cat.

Being the person taking all the photos means you dont appear on much photos, as your hidden behind the camera, so I made Emelie’s mother taking this one of me and Emelie, the only photo of me this day. And what a day!

This dress you seen alot recently, sorry about that, but I really like it. But I promise, the next outfit I post will not include this dress. Or the one after it.

Oki, I have some two tough weeks ahead of me, as I am going to be a representative for my party, for the student union and for all the environmental science students on my University. This included a 24/7 theather character and working both day and night. I will try to blog as normal, but if that do not happen, you know why. Have a great continued wednesday all!

The last breath of summer

Hey all! I am back with refilled energy. I have been away visiting my best friend and celebrating the baptism of my godson Loke, so I have been a little absent from computers. But this weekend away did give me alot of things to share with you guys.

First of all, I have not had a real outfit post for a while, so I wanted to make one, based on my outfit from saturday. I named in the last breath of summer, as the flowery patterns mixed with the brown made me think of the last summer days, when autumn is coming closer and closer, and everything start to get brown and die. This perticular day when I took it though was really sunny, and I did spend it on a place known as “Märkesbacken” where we painted the badges for the diffrent organisations involving my University. Or I did not paint, I just stood on the side and talked with the people and did take photos. Can’t get paint stains on my clothes, right?

Shirt: Gift

Skirt: Made by me

Bag/Belt: Vintage

Hairband: V&A

Shoes: Second hand

Ring: Spotted Moth

Talking about the last breath of summer, the painting of Märkesbacken really is a good sign that soon we are all going back to school and jobs, getting into a routine again, stop eating ice cream and swim outdoors every day and wear dresses without lots of layering like cardigans and tights. Next week I am going back to University, filled with books and discussions that all will lead to that economics are evil, humans are lazy and that the only solution to the worlds environmental problems are drastical improvements right now, the only thing being more depressing is the weather outside. Not cheerful I know, but you get quite alot of Doom’s Daying when you are studying environmental science. Plus, I don’t like autumns. I will be my happy self when it’s winter again.

Festival at Rougham Airfield

First of all, I want to thank you guys for the support from you about what is happening in London. I appreciate it alot. Second, it is time for me to move on. My motto in life is “tomorrow is a new day”, and it times when bad things happen, it is best to focus on the good things. So let’s do that.

This is some other photos from my trip to England, I am planning a third post known as Festival Inspiration, but this is just showing diffrent things on what I did on the festival. We was on this beautiful field, outside a town known as Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, for about a week. We (me and my husband) visited a Solar Cinema and watched Buster Keaton, listened to alot of music, collected feathers (I use feathers for the things I make), went to barn dancing and just had a great time. As a picture say more then a thousands words, let’s look at them instead.

Stuart O’Connor. Folkmusician and friend to my husband.

You could see kites all over the area. This one was the prettiest one I thought.

Photos of me during the only sunny day we had, and also of the people on the barn dance. I did not dance though, just sat there and took alot of photos. The last photo I just throwed in because it is so summery.

Two kids from the Children’s Cabaret. It was so adorable and cute.

Me on a cold day. Dresses Retro Clothing and Monki. Tights and socks HM. Wellies Everest.

Me on a warm day. Dress is a gift and bracelet is made by me.

Airplane, we was on an old airfield, and as I like planes I took some photos of them.

Buster Keaton on a solar powered cinema. As I am studying environmental science, this idea really made me enthusiastic about the whole festival.

This was the only festival I went to on this summer, which feels little weird as I normally go to 3-4. But this was my first foreign one, so that has to count for something. Have you gone to a festival this year? How was it and did you have a good luck with the weather?

Rioting in London

Twitter and Facebook is full of it. My husband Adam is in the middle of this and I sit here in Sweden and are glued to the computer, watching the english news. I am talking about the London Riots. I have tried to blog for two whole days, about something meaningful and fun, like the rest of my photos from my England trip, but it is hard when you know that people is trashing down the area (Ealing) of where my husband and his family are in. It is so weird to see places I been to, shops I have bought things on and streets I walked on just a week ago being destroyed.

Adam was taking photos of the streets today in his neighbourhood. Lots of glass, broken and boarded windows and people trying to clean things up. It is warming my heart to see people help each other out in this chaos, but on the same time, they should not have to!

Of some reason, I find it worse then the Norway incident, because it is not one mad person doing it, but normal people destroying their homes and lives. Seriously, it is an insanity. I hope this madness ends now.

Photos taken by Adam.

At the flee market

Have been shopping alot lately, preparing for being 3 people in the household and I got a tip that it should be one of Southern Sweden’s biggest flee markets close to wear I live today. I love flee markets, I love to talk to the people there, I love the things you can find there and it gives you a great opportunity to find nice things cheap. I had in mind also to find a long dress but the clothes I found there was not in my taste, so I just bought books and bowls and bottles. I did also look for a baptising gift to my best friends son, but as she could see it I will not show it here yet.

Looking, talking, shopping. Looked like many people did find nice things!

Closer look on one of the tables. Nice things next to hideous things next to odd things next to more things. It surely is a treasure hunt, and I looked a long time on those bracelets in the top right corner. But ended up not buying it. Instead…

I ended up buying this. A old bowl (dirty though) and a childrens book about a cat named Pelle Svanslös (Pelle Tail Less). As I recently got a cat this did seem fitting to have! Plus it looks adorable.

Bought this gigantic bottle also. Liked the brown vintage feeling to it. But as it was really really heavy, I took a rest outside my university…

…and did finish a book. This is pretty much how I look most of the time, with my nose in a book, and if it is nice weather, I am outdoors. But as it don’t look good when I shall post my outfit, you normal don’t see it.

That is better! Standing up, facing the camera, and normal I post a few details on my outfit also. I will do so also this time, as my ring is also a flee market find.

Dress: Spotted Moth

Ring: Flee Market find

Necklace: Paola loves to shop

Shoes: Second hand

This was my day on the flee market. Do you tend to go to flee markets? If you do, do you ever find anything nice, or is it just worthless going there?

Supernatural

They are quite aeasthetic and have a fragile beauty to it. The crowns are magical, blue, white, black. No tears is dry. Unbarked. Weird. Etheral and magical, maybe romantic. Sad? No strong! We are all Supernaturals.
