Blogging – A form of art?

When I was reading diffrent blogs through Internet, I found Underbara Clara‘s texts, which really are interesting to read. Under one post, she writes about that blogging is an artform, just like artists, poets and so on are doing, and being a blogger is something you have a talent for, or you dont. This thought was really interesting and it has been going around in my mind alot for the last few days.

Blogging is when you try to combine diffrent things to a wonderful harmony. You take pictures, you choose right scenes and the right clothes, you look at photos, write comments, read magazines, you have to write interesting texts that really is catching the viewers eye. All in the one single goal to get appreciating for your creation, the post’s you make in your blog.

I once read that a blogger do spend around 4-5 hours each day, in order create a good post. That is almost like a job, it is a passion for the people who do it. I just have to agree with Clara and say that blogging probably is an artform in the making. And it is so enjoyable to be one of them. :)

You are a tourist!

It is this superheat warm day here now, with a diffrence from the last days cold winds and rain and because I have been nagging my friends and family that I want to go to a warm place, like Polynesia, I decided to be a tourist in my own town. Took my pretty blue dress which I normally have on the beach, a pair of blue sunglasses and my new flowery shoes with me up to these wonderful cliffs nearby. Lying among the flower covered rocks almost felt like I was going to a foreign place. I am a tourist!

Double post today half outfitpost, half a post about this day.

Today is the Mothers Day (atleast here in Sweden, learned from my boyfriend/fiancée that is diffrent days depending which country you are from), so I had a full time of going to my mum and hand her the gift and eating Chocolate balls and Singoalla cakes. I dressed also up myself so it would match the gifts I gave her, a pink book about shoes. Over all, I am very found of pink/orange/purple at the moment and can’t really get enough of it! Dragonfly, Buddha and a flower

Inspired by a interior designing programme on TV, I made this small moodboard here at home,  with Mister Buddha, my Dragonfly buckle and this flower I found on IKEA. The bronze really is beautiful, and it probably is hard to copy onto clothes. I have atleast not seen any yet. But I am searching for a dragonfly shirt, and when I found it, I will let you know.

Flowery shoes

White, white, white. That is pretty much the thing here in Sweden. White walls indoors, white flowers, white snow, white clothing in the summer (which is actually quite beautiful). I do not own so much white clothes, but what I do own, is a pair of white shoes…some old second hand shoes where I actually can fit my feet in, and only that is a lesser miracle. In honor of these shoes, I now present some of my photography with a white theme. Enjoy!

Cold day – Warming Clothing

It is an really cold summer day here, blowing and it is raining, so I did not take any nice photos outdoors today. So you have to do with a few indoors photos of today’s outfit. My inspiration was the Spring’s big trend in strong colours like orange, yellow and pink. I was thinking also about that it should be comfortable and warm, both in the colours and in the material. And also, my pink dress, really is one of my favorites.

Industrial Glamour

Every time I go to my University, I pass by this famous and really beautiful old industrial buildings (actually, my school is located in this buildings) which is such a source of great inspiration. I really are so inspired by the rawness and the hardness in this environment, combined with those small details of beauty. Here are some photos from here and there (here being from my camera and there from various Internet sites. Credits further down).

Why this title?

I normally hate the word Glamour, but unfortunally, this word fits in perfectly here.  To make the Glamour, less glamouristic (I hope that is a word, if it’s not, I just made it), I added industrial rawness to it.

Come in…

…and sit by the candles. Feeling all oki? Can I get you anything? A book, some sweets? If everything is fine, I can share for you some big news. My new blog, White Masked Girl have now, offically, been opened. I have for long been thinking about making an english blog, focusing on the things that my swedish blog Modeiga has been writing about. But where Modeiga is a blog about my life, this blog focus more of my growing interest in fashion.

Who am I then?

Even if I will not write about my life here, you can still get to know me a little. My name is Madeleine, born in the far North were we have winter for 6 months a year and Polar Bears on the streets. I love dressing up, bags and funny hats, but on the other hand, I hate shoes shopping..because I never find shoes that fit my feet (which suck!).  To compensate my lack of shoes, I have a sock drawer bigger then a chocolate brown horse! (Oki now I lied, but I had to mention chocolate and horses somewhere).  I really hope you will come to enjoy my blog.

I wish you all a happy double rainbow!
